How to Cook Orzo 

You can cook Orzo using a pasta method, first boil water in a large container, add a pinch of salt, mix orzo in the pan and cook for about 6--8 minutes until it is cooked. When the orzo is cooked, remove the pasta and set aside.

Either use rice method for cook orzo, for this method you have to bring a pot with orzo and put water in double amount and wait for boil over low heat and cover with a lid. Let the orzo cook gently until all of the liquid is absorbed.

Ingredientsof Orzo


  • 1 ½ cups orzo pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or 1/3 cup butter
  • 2 ½ tsp minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper as per taste
  • 2 tsp flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2/3 cups fresh spinach leaves, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Optional for garnishing or extra use: fresh lemon zest, grated parmesan cheese, and cracked black pepper for topping

Instructions


- Bring a large pot to add some light salt in the water of the post and wait for boil. Cook the orzo in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until cooked, about 11 minutes. Or you can follow the direction as per the rules of package.

- Drain and set aside.

- Heat olive oil or some butter in a pan over medium heat.

- Add garlic, salt, and pepper and mix well for 1 minute until garlic is savory.

- Add flour and stir for one minute. Add about 1/4 cup of milk to the pot and whisk to make out any lump. When the ingots are finished or no lumps in there, add the rest of the milk and whisk to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 8 minutes or until the sauce is thick.

- Add spinach in the sauce, combine and wait for fully soft and well cooked. If the leaf is still not rolled, cover it for a minute and allow the couch to finish evaporating.

- Remove this from heat and add half of the parmesan cheese. Mix it into the mixture.

- When the cheese has melted, add orzo and stir to combine. Serve with extra parmesan cheese and serve immediately.

- Place in the oven set to broil for about 3 to 4 minutes until cheese is bubbly and slightly browned

- Serve & Enjoy! 😋

Notes :
