All right Before getting the full recipe below, let's talk about our ingredients list. Because I'm so exited to cook the recipe. I'm really so much hungry and taste that easy chicken and broccoli casserole recipe. Do you?
So to make this broccoli chicken casserole recipe you will need:

First, Chicken: Boneless and skinless chicken are best for this recipe.Cut into small bite sized pieces.
Or any cooked chicken you can use for that casserole.

Second, Broccoli: Use fresh broccoli or if you want to use frozen broccoli, then go ahead. I used for this recipe only the head broccoli part into a small bite pieces.

Third, Cheese: Any kind of cheese you add for this chicken broccoli and cheese casserole recipe. Like cheddar cheese, mozzarella, parmesan, ricotta cheese for this recipe. I suggest, add some good quality sharp cheese for this recipe casserole.

Forth, Broth: For this recipe you can use chicken broth or vegetable broth or stock to thicker the dish and for creamy sauce staff.

Fifth, Milk: Use milk for more creamy the casserole. I use any fat content milk that make that recipe flavorful and creamy.

Sixth, Onion: Onion that create a great texture and good flavor in the broccoli chicken casserole. I use a white onion for this recipe.

Seventh, For flavor and seasoning: Use butter or olive oil, garlic for flavor, salt and pepper for taste.

HOW TO MAKE THIS KETO CHICKEN AND BROCCOLI CASSEROLE:


To make this broccoli chicken casserole recipe,

1. Wash broccoli and chicken very well, cut the broccoli head onto small pieces.

2. Take a pan with some oil or butter. Fry the onions until golden. Add garlic for flavor. 

3. Stir in some flour and let it cook for 1 minute (this will help to thicken the sauce).

4. Then take an another bowl, add in the chicken or vegetable stock, milk, cream sour, salt and pepper, and cook another 5 minutes. Stir in half of the shredded cheese, taste, and adjust any seasonings as needed. 

5. In a large 9 x 13-inch baking dish, take chicken breast and broccoli, and pour the mixture and give everything a good toss, cooked broccoli, chicken — until combined.

4. Bake. Bake uncovered for 15 minutes. Then remove pan from the oven, sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese evenly on top of the casserole, and bake more 10 minutes for melting the cheese fully. 

5. Enjoy! Serve nice and warm!

Ingredients


4 cups uncooked broccoli head, cut into bite size

1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts

1 can Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup 

1 small white onion, thinly sliced

4 cloves garlic, minced

3 tablespoons flour

1 cup chicken or vegetable stock

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)

1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt

1/4 teaspoon freshly-cracked black pepper

¼ cup dry bread crumbs (optional)

3 Tbs butter melted or olive oil

Instructions


1. Heat the oven to 450 degrees F.

2. Add cream of chicken soup/stock or vegetable stock and milk, cheese, sour cream and bread crumbs to the prepare bowl or dish. Whisk together until completely combined.

3. For cook the chicken, take a pan or skillet over medium-high heat. 

4. Add olive oil or some butter into the pan or skillet. Add the onion and sauté for 3 minutes and stir continuously so that not to stick in the pan. Add garlic and sauté for 5 more minutes, stirring occasionally, or until the onion are golden brown, soft are cooked through.

5. Sprinkle the flour evenly over the onion mixture and stir until combined. Cook for 1 minute, stirring occasionally. Add in the stock stuffing mix, and stir everything together until most of the clumps are gone. Add salt and pepper as per your taste and combined well.

5. Add the chicken and broccoli to an 8×8 baking dish, and pour the soup/milk mixture over the top. Toss until combined.

6. Bake for 15 minutes at 450 degrees F and not need to cover anything over the baking sheet. Then remove pan from the oven, sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese evenly on top of the casserole, and bake for 10 more minutes or until the cheese is nice and melty.

7. Serve hot and for garnishing sprinkle some black pepper or dried herbs!

Recipe Notes: 


1. Bread crumbs is optional, for this recipe I use this for better taste, if you don't want omit this. 

2.  For additional mushroom is also good vegetables and create a grate taste in the chicken and broccoli casserole. 

How to make Chicken with Broccoli Casserole and Mushroom:

⟹ Do all the step from first to three. Then 

⟹ Heat the butter (or oil) in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the onion and sauté for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the mushrooms and garlic and sauté for 5 more minutes, stirring occasionally, or until the mushrooms are cooked through.

⟹ Then follow step 5 to 7 as well.

3. Any type of pasta will work here. Also you can add semolina, whole-wheat, egg, gluten-free, or use alternative-grain pasta.

4. If your chicken breasts are thicker, I would suggested cutting these breast in half to make it even thinner. You can also slice the chicken, that's depend on you, whatever you like.

Preparation: 


1. Preheat your oven to 375F (190C). Spray with cooking oil in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

2. Add chicken soup/stock or vegetable stock and water to the prepared dish or pan. Mix together until completely combined.

3. Pour uncooked white rice, uncooked chicken, and frozen broccoli and stir well. Add salt and pepper as per taste. Stir again.

4. Cover it tightly with foil and bake for 1 hour, or till the rice, chicken and broccoli is cooked and the stock is absorbed. After 1 hour, check the recipe and you see the rice is tender, soft, and the chicken, broccoli are cooked through.

5. For garnishing, sprinkle the grated cheese, herbs and pepper top over the casserole. and again bake for few more minutes to melt the cheese on the top. Serve hot!

Preparation:


⥇ Heat the olive oil or butter in a large skillet or a large pan. 

⥇ Add the chicken breasts to the pan and season them with salt and pepper as per taste. 

⥇ Cook it for about 5 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and starts to lightly brown and soft.

⥇ Add some chopped onions, garlic and saute for another 2 minutes until the onions softens a little bit and turns into golden brown.

⥇ Now add the pasta, chicken broth, milk, sour cream, broccoli and bring to a boil. Turn the flame down to low, stir occasionally, cover the pan/skillet and cook for 15 minutes, mix as well, until the pasta cooks through.

⥇ Uncover the pot or pan and continue cooking for few more minutes until all the liquid evaporates or you can say absorbed. Add the nutmeg (if you use/optional) and cheddar cheese, mix well. Add some seasoning for taste and adjust with salt and pepper if needed.

⥇ Serve while warm.

What ingredients I use as a substitution for liquid?


You can use any kind of condensed soup like mushroom soup, chicken soup or vegetable soup. For this recipe I recommend to use Cream of Mushroom, Cream of Celery or just plain Cheddar Soup. You can make Cream of Chicken Soup too! This chicken soup creates a better flavor!

Can I Store this easy keto and low carb chicken broccoli casserole in the freeze/refrigerator?


This dish can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 – 5 days. This casserole is a great meal to freeze and is best for if used within 3 months of freezing in the airtight container. But keep in mind that, before eating, you have to remove the dish from the freeze and reheat for few minutes. Also you can see the preparation here.
